How it started
Word art/ logo art started as a collaboration with an artist that used spray guns for his projects. My initial idea was to have him spray my apartment wall with a iconic sign in the neighborhood. I created a mock up of how it will lay out on the wall. I realized there were more than a few locations in the neighborhood I wanted displayed on my wall and the concept took shape
I began taking pictures of local establishments and locations I had visited throughout the years.
I then took the logos/words and used Photoshop and Illustrator to ultimately vectorize the images. During this process I began to put the images together like a puzzle and realized the deisgn needed to be spray painted on a canvas. The artist had a process of projecting the image onto the canvas and esstenially created a stencil then sprayed the canvas (extremely time consuming but the results were excellent and can be seen below).
